Do you run any promotions?

What is your refund procedure?

How can I cancel a course once booked?

You can cancel a course by sending an email to info@olivesafety.ie mentioning your Order number. Also, please refer to our Cancellation Policy page.

What happens if I am late?

Where possible, we will accommodate all delegates who arrive late. However, the instructor on the programme makes the final decision. We generally allow approximately 15 minutes after the designated start time for registration and tea/coffee. Safe Pass must commence at 8.00 am and all delegates must be present.

Can training courses be held on-site?

Yes, the training can be done on-site based on trainer availability.

Are there booking conditions I need to be aware of?

All payments are to be made in advance. For Safe Pass, a PPS number is required to book the training.

How do I know my booking is okay?

After booking a place on a course, you will receive a booking form. All delegates will receive a call from our team to remind them of training prior to commencement.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept Bank Transfers and Credit Cards. Companies using these payment methods should attach a note with their company name, the course they are attending, and the dates they are booking. We can set up a company account for future bookings.

Can I make a provisional booking?

Unfortunately, we do not take provisional bookings. Places are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis and are only guaranteed once your signed booking form has been received.

Is Lunch provided?

Lunch is not provided. However, tea and snacks are provided during breaks.

Is there Public Transport to the Centre?

Yes, public transport is available.

Is parking available?

Yes, free parking is available.

Is there a local accommodation listing available?

What is the Dress Code?

Delegates are advised to wear casual, comfortable clothes. For courses where there are practical elements such as the Confined Space programme, we advise delegates to bring extra gear and clothing. Here is a list of appropriate PPE:

• Overalls or Old Clothes
• Hard Hat
• Safety Boots
• Gloves
• Knee Pads
• High Visibility Jacket
• Wet Gear if applicable

Can Students with English language difficulties be accommodated?

Yes. Please inform our team in advance and they will do the needful.

Is there an age limit on training programmes?

Yes. For Solas Safe Pass, the minimum age limit is 16. The age limit varies across courses.

What happens if someone fails? Can they repeat?

For the majority of the courses, it is possible for delegates to repeat the programme or part of the programme. Should a delegate refer to a programme, they will be briefed on the best course of action to take to repeat the course.

Are certificates given to participants or sent to the company?

Certificates are issued to the company/individual that has booked the training on receipt of payment.

What is Safe Pass?

Safe Pass is a 1-day safety awareness programme aimed at construction workers. The aims of the programme are to raise the standard of safety awareness in the construction industry. Delegates who complete the programme can make a positive contribution to the prevention of accidents and ill health while working on the site.

The Safe Pass Programme is operated and managed by Solas (www.solas.ie).

Who needs to do Safe Pass awareness training?

Under the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 Safe Pass/Safety Awareness Programmes only applies to -
(a) Craft and general construction workers,
(b) Persons undertaking on-site security work, and
(c) Persons or classes of persons as may be prescribed by the Minister.

Who needs to apply for a temporary process number?

Participants who are employed by a NON-Irish employer (i.e. contract staff) who do not have an Irish PPS number.

How often do I need to renew my Safe Pass training?

Safe Pass awareness training should be renewed every 4 years

Who is not eligible to apply for a temporary process number?

Participants who are employed by an Irish employer who does not have an Irish PPS number are not eligible to apply for a Temporary Process Number. They must wait until their PPS number is supplied to them before proceeding to attend the Safe Pass course.

How can I book a course?

Please choose the course from the course booking option to book the course.

How long does it take for a temporary process number to be issued?

We recommend returning applications at least 10 working days in advance in order to ensure they are received before the course commences.

Can I do the First Aid Responder Refresher if my previous certificate had expired earlier?

According to PHECC, there is a grace period of 3 months for a First Aid Responder to do his/her refresher training

How long is the Safe Pass course?

The timings for the Safe Pass course are 7.15 am to 5.15 pm.

How can I get a refund?

Please contact our finance team at finance@olivegroup.io with your request.

Is Safe Pass Olive certified?

No, the Safe Pass cards are issued by SOLAS to Olive Safety. Once received, the cards will be posted to the attendee's address.

How can I book the FAR course?

Please choose from the course list to book a course.

After I complete the online theory part of Manual Handling, what should I do next?

The next step is the practical assessment. Please send an email to info@olivesafety.ie or call us at +353014111011 to book your practical session. The session will take around 20 minutes to complete.

When does Olive Safety conduct Manual Handling Practicals?

Our public Manual Handling practical sessions usually run on Mondays, Wednesdays (11 AM,12 PM and 4:30 PM) and Fridays (11 AM,12 PM and 3 PM).

Is the IPAF MEWP course provided in Olive?

If you require IPAF certification please contact us directly to arrange this for you. After successful completion, the certificate will be provided by IPAF with 5 years of validation.

Will you provide us with a letter of completion for the Safe Pass course?

The trainer will provide the letter of completion at the end of the day.

Do you provide Manual Handling Instructor course?

Yes. We provide a Manual Handling Instructor course.

My name is spelt incorrectly in my certificate, Who do I send message?

Can you provide me with an invoice for the website order which I recently paid?

How do I get a receipt after booking through the website?

We will send you a digital receipt of the transaction.

Can we do MEWP and W@H on the same day?

Working at Heights is covered in the MEWP course.

How many trucks will be provided for the forklift refresher?

3 Trucks - Reach, Power pallet and Counter Balance.

How to use the MS Teams for Abrasive wheels practical part?

We will send you the link to access MS Teams.

How to use Google Meet for the practicals?

We will send you the link for the Google meet session.

The attendee has difficulty in reading but he has a good understanding of English, so can he be allowed to attend safe pass?

No, the test is done in English.

The validity of the Manual Handling certificate

The validity is 3 years.
