Where possible, we will accommodate all delegates who arrive late. However, the instructor on the programme makes the final decision. We generally allow approximately 15 minutes after the designated start time for registration and tea/coffee. Safe Pass must commence at 8.00 am and all delegates must be present.
Yes, the training can be done on-site based on trainer availability.
All payments are to be made in advance. For Safe Pass, a PPS number is required to book the training.
After booking a place on a course, you will receive a booking form. All delegates will receive a call from our team to remind them of training prior to commencement.
We accept Bank Transfers and Credit Cards. Companies using these payment methods should attach a note with their company name, the course they are attending, and the dates they are booking. We can set up a company account for future bookings.
Unfortunately, we do not take provisional bookings. Places are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis and are only guaranteed once your signed booking form has been received.
Lunch is not provided. However, tea and snacks are provided during breaks.

Delegates are advised to wear casual, comfortable clothes. For courses where there are practical elements such as the Confined Space programme, we advise delegates to bring extra gear and clothing. Here is a list of appropriate PPE:

Yes. For Solas Safe Pass, the minimum age limit is 16. The age limit varies across courses.
For the majority of the courses, it is possible for delegates to repeat the programme or part of the programme. Should a delegate refer to a programme, they will be briefed on the best course of action to take to repeat the course.
Certificates are issued to the company/individual that has booked the training on receipt of payment.
Safe Pass is a 1-day safety awareness programme aimed at construction workers. The aims of the programme are to raise the standard of safety awareness in the construction industry. Delegates who complete the programme can make a positive contribution to the prevention of accidents and ill health while working on the site.
The Safe Pass Programme is operated and managed by Solas (www.solas.ie).
Under the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 Safe Pass/Safety Awareness Programmes only applies to -
(a) Craft and general construction workers,
(b) Persons undertaking on-site security work, and
(c) Persons or classes of persons as may be prescribed by the Minister.
Participants who are employed by a NON-Irish employer (i.e. contract staff) who do not have an Irish PPS number.
Safe Pass awareness training should be renewed every 4 years
Participants who are employed by an Irish employer who does not have an Irish PPS number are not eligible to apply for a Temporary Process Number. They must wait until their PPS number is supplied to them before proceeding to attend the Safe Pass course.

According to PHECC, there is a grace period of 3 months for a First Aid Responder to do his/her refresher training

No, the Safe Pass cards are issued by SOLAS to Olive Safety. Once received, the cards will be posted to the attendee's address.

Our public Manual Handling practical sessions usually run on Mondays, Wednesdays (11 AM,12 PM and 4:30 PM) and Fridays (11 AM,12 PM and 3 PM).
